Church Leadership
Pastor Michael R. Harper
Pastor Mike has been in active ministry since 1991, serving in churches in Ohio, Florida, and West Virginia. He received his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Ohio Bible College and later earned his Doctorate from Carolina University of Theology. Since March of 2003, he has been pastor of North Hills Baptist Church. His ministry roles include preaching, teaching, and counseling. Mike has actively served with the Kanawha Valley Baptist Association as Moderator and Chairman of the Mission Committee. He
also served on the Executive Board of the West Virginia Baptist Convention. His wife Amy is a graduate from Pensacola Christian College. She has also served and still serves in a variety of ministry roles. Michael and Amy have two children, Abigail and Daniel.

Deacon Mike Hay
Mike and Janice are from the Sissonville area, and graduated from Sissonville High School, as did their children. They raised their family attending local churches during which time Mike served as a Sunday
School teacher for the young teen and adult classes. Mike also sang gospel music for many years, both in groups and as a soloist. He and Janice began attending North Hills Church in 2013. There Mike has been active in the church choir and regularly sings special music in church services. Most recently, he and his wife began serving as the Senior Saints leaders, planning activities for members ages 55 and over. In 2023, Mike was ordained as a Deacon. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Charleston. Janice received her graduate degree from Marshall University. They have three daughters, Jennifer, Emily, and Lindsay, and four grandchildren, Olivia, Henry, Silas, and Rosalie.

Deacon Mike Johnson
Mike and Shelby have attended North Hills Baptist Church since first
bringing their 4-year old daughter to vacation Bible school in 1988. After
joining the church, Mike started his service as a member of the Board of
Christian Education. He was then elected Treasurer in 1991, an office he still
holds today. He has also served on the Board of Trustees and is now on the Board
of Deacons. Mike also served as Moderator for the Kanawha Valley Baptist
Association - a ministry of the West Virginia Baptist Convention. They have one
daughter, Amy and four grandchildren: Crystal, Jordan, Alexa, and Brian.

Deacon Jeff Fleck
Jeff and Cindy have lived in the Sissionville area since 1994 and began attending North Hills Baptist Church regularly in 2013. Jeff is a graduate of Cross Lanes Christian School and Liberty University. He has been a member of the church choir since 2013 and in 2017 became a member of the Board of Trustees.
He began leading the Thursday night adult basketball ministry upon completion of the Church's activity building in 2015. In 2019, Jeff was ordained as a Deacon and began leading the Wednesday night Bible study. Jeff and Cindy have two children; daughter Madison and son Jacob.
